Buying a Car in Japan - Taxes, Insurance, Registration Etc,

Unless you buy a Kei-car, you need to secure a parking space for your car and have it certified by a local police office. If you live in Saitama Prefecture, UCHIDA takes care of filing an application on your behalf.

To register the new car under your name, a Certificate of Seal/Signature is required. If you want to trade-in your old car, another sheet of Certificate is needed.

On behalf of you, UCHIDA takes care of the Vehicle Registration. If you want to have a License Plate with a specific number, please tell us in advance.

UCHIDA takes any year model as a trade-in. We offer an attractive trade-in price based on the latest auction quotes.

Shinkosha cars are solely for use in Japan, not good for export or use outside Japan.
