Payable on April 1 every year. In case that you buy a Kei-car on and after April 2, you need not pay Kei-car tax for the fiscal year.
Rate: 7,200 Yen/year

There are two insurance programs; one is mandatory that just covers injuries of victims.

Death benefit cap 30 million JP Yen and disability indemnity cap 40 million JP Yen per victim.
Covers injuries of victims only.
Not covers injuries of the driver and owners of the hitting car.

Due to the restriction of filing a Vehicle Registration, Shinkosha cars at UCHIDA AUTO are available only to the residents in Kanto area, Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Yamanashi.
Shinkosha cars are solely for use in Japan, not good for export or use outside Japan.
